All,
Let me offer my thanks to the 22 Scouts and parents that showed up for the Church fall clean-up on Staurday (11/22).  Work got underway a before 8:00AM & thanks to the hard work of all those present - we were done by 10:30AM.  Great work scouts, the Church grounds look awesome!!  So much so, that a neighbor of the Church was so impressed with the efforts that they stopped and dropped off several boxes of danishes.
Tuesday November 25th at 7:00PM - Brandon, Connoer, Billy & Dustin will be joining me at Cub Pack #554 November Pack Meeting to make Rifle Competition Trophy presentation.  Full Class A Uniforms needed.  Thank you Scouts!
Reminder that there is no scheduled meetings until Thursday Dec. 4th.  A Patrol Leader Council Meeting may occur on Thursday 12/4 at 6:00PM - prior to the normal Patrol Meeting (Matt will confirm this).
Yours in Scouting,

All,
Just a quick update regarding last night's Parents Meeting - thank you to all that attended/participated.  It was a very productive meeting!
Troop #354 has a new website, established by Dan Barber.  Follow this link & save to your "favorities", as you'll no doubt be referencing the site often for updates, important communications, etc. http://www.354scouts.org/troop/
During the Court of Honor please be sure to pick-up Troop Calendars.  Mr. Gaston will be providing an updated version.  As a highlight - here are several important dates to make note of:
IMPORTANT DATES:
  • Saturday Nov. 22 - 8AM - Church Fall Clean-up.  This is a must attend activity, as this is our opportunity to give a little back to the Church that provides so much for Troop #354.
  • Tuesday Nov. 25th - 7PM - Cub Pack #554 November Pack Meeting.  I need a few scouts to join me for the presentation of a Rifle Competition Trophy to one of the Webelos II Scouts. (please see Mr. Woywod if you can attend).
  • Thursday Nov. 27 - No Meeting - enjoy Thanksgiving with your families.
  • Thursday Dec. 4 - Patrol Meeting - Jon  Eagle Ceremony Practice
  • Friday Dec. 5 - Wreaths arrive at Gaston's home.  The pick-up time to be provided as the date nears.
Thank you again to the parents that attended Monday's Meeting.  Your continued support ensures the best possible program for these Scouts.

Important Information from Mr. Woywod! PDF Print E-mail

All,
According to the information provided by Dan Barber, our Fall Wreath Fund Raiser netted 446 wreath products sold, along with 43 candles.  The combined bill we owe is $6851.26.  It appears that the Troop's net profit looks to be $2398.74 with a profit margin of 26%.
On behalf of the Troop, thank you to all of our salesmen and a special thank you to Dan & Janine Barber for setting this up and also to Terri Soltis & Cindy Biehl for collecting forms & money last night and Beth Hoagland for her continued assistance.
On Monday Nov 17th we are having a Parent's Meeting at the Church.  We anticipate wrapping up plans for the Court of Honor and this recent fund raiser.  Please plan on attending.

BREAKING NEWS - Due to inclement weather (thunderstorms throughout Saturday) this weekend's trip to Deer Park has been cancelled/postponed.

Court of Honor is Thursday Nov 20th at 6:45PM.  Scouts should arrive at 6:30 for set up.  All will be in full Class A uniforms (neckerchiefs & MB sashes).  As Matt H. stated last night - "Scouts, dig them out of your closets and get them clean".  Please note that we have approximately 8 Scouts working with Mr. Barber on Communications Merit Badge and they are actively planning this Ceremony.  Hopefully you won't hear much from Mr. Gaston & myself - so lets support their efforts!!
I need several (2 or 3) Scouts in Class A uniforms to join me at Pack #554 November Pack Meeting on Tuesday Nov 25th at 7PM.  We have Rifle Competition Trophy to present.  Please see me if you'd like to participate.
It was great to see some of our Marching Band Scouts back last night - we've missed you all!
Next Saturday Nov 22 is our Fall Clean-up at the Church.  EVERYONE is expected to participate.
I heard from several Scouts last night that Billy D. is still (or is back) in the hospital with continued kidney issues.  Please remember to call/text him, as I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.  Contact Mr. Woywood for the phone number.  Our prayers are with him for a speedy recovery.
Finally, during Casey C's Eagle Project at Briar Bush, a black camera bag may have been misplaced.  Please contact Dmytro B. if you have any information.  Also, he left a "Husky" measuring tape behind.  (Casey or Chuck can you keep your eye out for this).
Yours in Scouting,

Mr. Woywood
